Instructor: Mort Jordan - The course will briefly cover the course of World War 1 from its causes through its aftermath, but will concentrate on the roles played by Alabamians. The primary focus will be the 167th Regiment of the 42nd Rainbow Division, formerly the Alabama National Guard, which saw more action than any other American unit in the War. The valor of the 167th was praised by Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Secretary of War Newton Baker and others.
